How NewMail interacts with your data

Upon logging into NewMail AI via your Gmail account, be assured that we do not extract your emails, data, or contacts. When an email arrives, NewMail transfers it securely to OpenAI's API, gathers a decision response, adds that decision to the email and executes automated actions based on that decision, all without ever storing the email.
Every morning before your daily briefing is sent out, NewMail accesses your previous day of emails ephemerally and summarizes important information for you in seconds.

Usage of Your Data

The singular data we utilize is the context and preferences which you've explicitly shared in NewMail. This data undergoes immediate encryption, ensuring it remains inaccessible to our team. Its sole purpose is to amplify the context of your AI assistant, ensuring an unparalleled email management experience.

Data and Model Training

It's essential for our users to understand that while your email data interacts with the AI to produce relevant outputs, it is not used to train or refine AI models. Specifically, your email data serves only as a prompt to generate responses and is not used to improve the model's capabilities or stored for future reference. We respect the boundary between using data for immediate functionality and using it for model enhancement.

Email Content Storage

NewMail respects your privacy; we never store your email content. Emails momentarily pass through our servers, a necessary step to append metadata that aids your AI assistant in sorting your inbox.

The only service to actually store your email content is OpenAI as our current LLM provider.
OpenAI is certified by GDPR, CCPA, SOC2 and SOC3 and trusted by top companies as the world’s best provider of AI service.

Third-Party Data Sharing

NewMail holds your trust dear, which is why we NEVER sell or rent your data.

Your email data is only accessed by OpenAI through their developper API, their data usage policy is never to use your data for training or reselling.
User data is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard. More information at trust.openai.com.
Any data related to payments will be handled by our secure payment processing partner Stripe, certified by PCI, SOC1 and SOC2.

Data Deletion Requests and further questions

In alignment with GDPR, users can request the deletion of their data from our servers. For this, send an email from the registered account email to our data protection officer, including "GDPR" in the subject line or using this link ensuring prompt attention to your request.
